
About Ojiya City Sogo Sangyo Kaikan Sun Plaza
A general industry hall located in the central area of Ojiya City fully equipped with a huge parking area. Ippinkan on the second floor has a lineup of souvenirs and wonderful food of Ojiya. The second floor also houses Takuminoza, which sells products using Ojiya-chijimi, Ojiya-tsumugi and Katakai-cotton, all items that are perfect for souvenirs. Orinoza, on the first floor, has an exhibition introducing the weaving culture of Ojiya, and a studio where guests can experience weaving.

A shop selling Ojiya textile products such as Ojiya-chijimi, Ojiya-tsumugi, and Katakai-cotton. There is not only Japanese attire made with traditional technique, but also accessories that can be used on a daily basis. Also sold are Free From jackets, shirts, scarves, etc., a brand using Ojiya’s traditional fabric in making modern fashion. You may find items that will enrich your heart and your lifestyle.

Orinoza
Here is a gallery where visitors can learn the history and culture of the supreme technique of Ojiya-chijimi and Ojiya-tsumugi. The place is surrounded by panels explaining the traditional techniques, handmade choma fabric, and tools of the time, allowing visitors to thoroughly enjoy the world of weaving of old times. Visitors can try making a coaster fabric using its weaving technique at the Experience Studio. Why not create a memory of your trip?
